His career as a skater with fellow countryman Denis Samokhin made him famous. They competed together for the two Junior World Championships and placed 7th in both 1993 and 1994. The first time she teamed up with Maxim Kachanov. Together, the duo placed fifth in the Goodwill Games 1994. Both were successful with their partnership as they each won the Finlandia Trophy and participated in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Together they achieved greater things but the apex of their partnership was when they finished 15th in the 1998 World Championships.
